Wild Light, who hail from New Hampshire and collaborated on that Killers Christmas song, popped over to do a couple of songs live for Laundromatinee. Both "California On My Mind" and "Call Home," which come from this year's Adult Nights album, have an early '90s indie feel to them, like Pavement doing Unplugged. Both tracks have a quaint charm and enjoyable melodies, especially the harmonies that close "Call Home." This band definitely sounds more at home without Brandon Flowers' showboating. [MOKB]
me thinkith they stinkith
Agreed. It's the sort of thing I'm afraid of everytime a tambourine and harmonica comes into the mix: a bunch of talentless twats in plaid shirts and hoodies who think they'll start a band just because they live in Portland. Or New Hampshire.
