“Why Are You Always In My Dreams?”

Like a psych-pop Captured Tracks record, or if Here We Go Magic’s “Collector” smoked more weed, Julien Rossow-Greenberg’s track “Why Are You Always In My Dreams?” circles around itself, its guitar riffs spinning in washed out loops into a hallucinogenic ether. J R G’s vocals fight the rising tide, asking a hopeless string of unanswered questions. It’s an impressively constructed song, one that borrows the hazy uncertainty of his other project, Arches, but gives it a incisive edge with overdrive pedals. If you need more, you can grab his “You’re With Me” cassette via Treetop Sorbet, or check out his SoundCloud. [IGIF]
