White Rabbits

"Percussion Gun" (Live on Letterman) (Video)

Average Rating: 10.00

Brooklyn band White Rabbits performed the opening track from their new album, It’s Frightening, on the Late Show with David Letterman last night (May 18). Britt Daniel from Spoon has produced the record, which is being released by Radiohead’s current U.S. label, TBD.

“Percussion Gun” is, as you would expect from the title, a heavily percussive track that is driven by a double-drummer assault. Their music lays somewhere in-between Coldplay and Animal Collective, drawing on the angst-ridden vocals of the former and the arty quirks of the latter. It’s Frightening is released today (May 19).

This song is one of my latest obsessions. I initially just liked the double-drummer beat, but now everything is working for me.
