It’s been a year since New Yorkers White Rabbits released the Britt Daniel produced It’s Frightening, but the band is still out on the road promoting it. Their latest stop on the promo trail was a slot on Jools Holland’s Later in the U.K., where they performed this version of “Percussion Gun” from the album.
As you’d expect, they sound well drilled by this point in the game, and the highlight of “Percussion Gun” remains the drum heavy break at the midway point, which is presumably where the song found its title, and is somewhat reminiscent of the densely layered double drummer assault of Adam and the Ants’ classic “Kings of the Wild Frontier.”
