Nanna Fabricius has pulled another single from her eponymously titled second album and has given it a typically quirky music video. “White Nights” errs toward being one of her most straightforward pop efforts yet, and it makes sense that she’s spent a decent part of this year opening for Katy Perry. But it’s difficult to see exactly who’s going to take to this—too mainstream for anyone drawn to pop with an experimental edge, and a little too angular for pop fans looking for Perry-like thrills. Ultimately it ends up inhabiting some middle ground that isn’t really appealing to anyone.
