White Hinterland : "Icarus"/"Amsterdam"
Singer/songwriter Casey Dienel's White Hinterland project seems to have taken a sharp left turn as of late, as she readies her newest release, Kairos. Instead of her traditional, endearing performances with piano and guitar, the new material is low-key electronic pop filled with loops and samples, which suggests one of the more interesting changes in form that an artist has undergone in recent memory.
You can listen to "Icarus" at Gorilla vs. Bear and "Amsterdam" at Said the Gramophone. Kairos is out March 9 on Dead Oceans.
