Weezer has reached that point where the band members understand that no one cares much for their newest material, so they are doing the sensible thing and taking their back catalog out on tour—specifically Pinkerton and the so-called Blue Album, which will get an airing in North American venues this December.
The band continued the theme by ignoring Hurley completely on Last Call with Carson Daly last night (Oct. 6), instead choosing to perform versions of “Buddy Holly” and “Undone (The Sweater Song)” for the show. If 2010 leaves any kind of musical legacy behind, it will almost certainly indicate that we really weren’t ready to let go of the ‘90s just yet.
