Wavves: "Stained Glass (Won't You Let Me Into Yr Heart)"
Last week, we reported on the upcoming Wavves/Best Coast split 7" set to drop soon through Mexican Summer. Well, Wavves' contribution made its way to the internet today, and safe to say, "Stained Glass (Won't You Let Me Into Yr Heart)" falls squarely into the camp of weird Wavves songs (like "Convertible Balloon," "Mickey Mouse," or "Cool Jumper") as opposed to his punkier burners. Nonetheless, it contains a humdinger of a central hook, guitars that sound like they were recorded underwater, and a propulsive, slow-motion machine gun drum part. It's streaming exclusively over at Banana's Music Club, if you're interested in giving it a listen.
The Wavves and Best Coast split hits iTunes tomorrow, and will be available in physical form on their upcoming joint tour.
