Mountain Dew, via its Green Label Sound label, is sponsoring the above Wavves single, "Post Acid." Surprisingly, it's the cleanest sounding Wavves song ever, but that might have less to do with the free Dew and more to do with producer Dennis Herring, who owns Sweet Tea Recordings, the studio where this was recorded, getting involved. Some people have already voiced displeasure at the lack of fuzz here, but honestly, this makes Wavves more palatable for me.
The big question is if this is how the rest of Wavves' upcoming King of the Beach will sound. That's due out on August 3 via Fat Possum.
