Nathan Williams posted a cover of the Misfits’ “Hybrid Moments” to his Twitter account yesterday (go here to download it). This is a lower-than-lo-fi take on the track, with the drums sounding like someone thwacking away on a piece of metal piping and the guitars caked in grime. But it works surprisingly well, with Williams clearly enjoying dipping into the sing-along chorus, and the whole project beginning and ending in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it kinda way. Much like most of the best Wavves tracks, in fact. “I didn’t tune my guitar and I think the chorus goes once more in the end,” he tweeted. Sounds just fine to us.
