Wavves' "I Wanna Meet Dave Grohl" is probably his most wide released song, thanks largely due to its title subject, and the release of the song via the VMAs. But he's got an EP of songs, Life Sux, that are all just as likely to end up on the end credits of a show about punks: The latest is "Destroy," a shredding track that features Fucked Up. The groups are touring together later this year, so maybe they're more than just tourmates: They're brothers in fuck shit up. "Destroy" is the kind of song that would be perfect if I was 14. I suspect there's some teenager right now having his face blown off by this. As it should be.
Life Sux is due out on Sept. 20.
