Washed Out: "Eyes Be Closed" (Grimes Remix) (Streaming)
There’s about a month to wait until Washed Out’s full debut album Within and Without will be upon us, and the song “Eyes Be Closed” is the first taste of how that record is going to sound. The single release of “Eyes Be Closed” will be backed by a set of impressive remixes, which includes work by Star Slinger, Lovelock and Grimes. You can hear the overhaul by the latter below, who have taken the song and practically turned it into a piece of chamber music at the beginning. It gets a little more recognizably Washed Out-like as the track progresses, but this is certainly an interesting take on his music.
