Warpaint stopped by the Morning Becomes Eclectic studios on KCRW recently to perform a session, which included this version of “Undertow” from The Fool. The overlapping vocal harmonies really make this song work, with all four band members joining in at certain points in the song, and a light guitar thrum neatly guiding it into shape. They hit a solid groove at the midway point of the track, but continue to throw in odd diversions and stop-start rhythms that always keep you from fully anticipating where they are heading.
