Wale's Attention Deficit is finally out tomorrow, but various tracks from the album have been bouncing around the net the last few days. The most notable is "TV in the Radio," a track produced by TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek, and featuring K'Naan. Sitek puts the Antibalas (presumably) hornsmen to work laying down a soulful horn blast over his sparse percussion backing, while K'Naan and Wale wax about how they're more original than other rappers. It's probably true, especially in the Somalia-born K'Naan's case.
Wasn't really feeling this until K'Naan took over. It's not a bad track, just not what I was hoping for. Sitek's production left me wanting more, too.
