Wale

Nike Boots (Video)

Wale's "Nike Boots," a song about how Wale's hometown of Washington D.C. is ignored as a hip-hop epicenter, was released as a single 15 months ago, and now the song finally has a music video. The video shows the streets, the club life, and the people of D.C., and features Wale as the star. [Nahright]

When I first saw this on Nah Right, I thought that the site had some kind of error where old posts were showing up on the home page. 15 months? Crazy.

Does this mean we are any closer to an offical Wale album?

Sorry, had to come back and get this out. My only criticism of wale is that he's too aware of his craft. It seems like he has trouble doing something in his lyrics and just letting us see it, he's got to tell us. Explaining the black on black boots metaphor at the end, not how I want to hear "represent" in a rhyme.
