Wale just dropped this supposed leftover from his 2011 full-length Ambition. Why exactly it didn't make the cut is anyone's guess since it hits hard and features high-profile guests. With eerie, looping keys and a machine-gun snare, the Southside-produced "Albert Pujols" sits well as a Maybach Music offering. And sure enough Rick Ross shows up to lead things off, holding his own as per usual with Fabolous closing it out. It's got a bit of a "MC Hammer" feel with the use of "Albert Pujols" in the chorus lacking any real rhyme but somehow still works.
Don't expect the newly signed Angel to use this track as his walk-up song, though. Albert is more into…christian programming.
