Vivian Girls currently have a limited edition single out on Rough Trade, comprised of two exclusive tracks, “Moped Girls” and “Death.” The songs were recorded on Platts Eyot Island in London, a recording studio that Deerhunter mainman Bradford Cox has used in the past.
This video for “Moped Girls” is short, sweet, and features singer Cassie Ramone with a paper bag over her head. The production is brighter and less reverb drenched than their debut album, and the song features some impressive vocal harmonies and a neat downer vibe that suits them a lot better than their sugary pop-punk tracks.
The single is available to order via Rough Trade’s U.K. website.

Is there anything coherent about this song? Boy do the Vivian Girls know how to market themselves. Who cares if the music is boring? They've got different colored eyes, bloody noses, ski masks, and KITTIES.
