Brooklyn-based VHS or Beta has a new album due on Sept. 27 titled Diamonds and Death, which will be the band’s first full-length release since the 2007 record Bring on the Comets. Rolling Stone is hosting the first taste of that new album in the shape of “Breaking Bones,” which is another steely dance-oriented workout that forms a neat progression from the group’s past material. The cover of Diamonds and Death looks set to continue the prog-influenced artwork that is proliferating throughout the music world this year (see also: Ladytron’s upcoming record, Gravity the Seducer). How long before Roger Dean is called back into action? Check out “Breaking Bones” over here.
