“Vertigo” (Video) (Prefix Premiere)

    Caffeinated Icelandic quartet FM Belfast could not have picked a better name for their sophomore album, Don’t Want To Sleep. While there are some woozy moments across its 11 tracks, the record is brimming with high-energy, infectious romps fueled by bright synthesizers and throbbing drum machines. These elements are on full display throughout the band’s new single, “Vertigo,” which bursts from a mellow swayer into a mixture of horn stabs, hand claps, and thick kicks.

    Director Máni M. Sigfússon supplemented FM Belfast’s fetching jam with an equally upbeat and arresting music video. It centers on a play date held by two little girls, who are terribly cute and seem to know exactly what to do when it comes to properly enjoying the music of “Vertigo.” Go ahead and embrace your inner child by watching  the video below.
