Vampire Weekend have clearly gotten more comfortable with "White Sky" since they performed it on Fallon last year, as this version from their recent Juan's Basement session is more assured. This one ends with string section in Juan's kitchenette, which you can look at as a bonus. Hopefully they did a take of "Diplomat's Son" for tomorrow. [Pitchfork]
Anyone listen to the whole album yet? What do you think?
I have. It's really good, but I can't figure if I like it better than the debut quite yet.
it's really good, but my brain tells me it's too derivative of paul simon to like it as much as i want to. might not be as good as the first one, tho.
I can see that. I haven't taken a listen yet, but for me, Vampire Weekend is a guilty pleasure at best.
