Vampire Weekend's Contra is the year's first big release, as the album will be upon us in eight days. Like they did last time out, the guys are starting to rev up the promotional train, hitting Juan's Basement recently for a frenetic version of "Cousins" that doesn't skip out on the strings, as VW brought along some violinists for the occasion.
