Blog-house sensation the Teenagers cut their teeth remixing the work of Air, Chromeo, and Goldfrapp, and now that their own album is out of the way, the band have returned to the remix game. This time around, they’ve remixed “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa” by Vampire Weekend, another band known to be brandishing some hype.

The remix takes the quick stab of the original and turns it into a slow-burning, cavernous, space-jam, removing any possibility of feeling guilty over the original’s African appropriation. It makes you wonder what Vampire Weekend would sound like if they listened to shoegaze instead of Fela Kuti. [Stereogum]
