“Ffunny Ffrends” is one of the many highlights of Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s eponymously titled album from this year, and the band finally got around to making a video for it. They like to cloak their superior songwriting skills in a layer of lo-fi murk, but it works so well when the shiny pop melodies break through the grime. The video is full of abstract imagery cut up all over the song, which makes a suitable counterpart to the bittersweet nature of the track.
