Some time in the past few days, U2 released a limited edition CD available only to online subscribers that contains 15 collaborative tracks from the past 30 years. It includes cuts featuring everyone from Green Day to Willie Nelson to Rihanna. Jay-Z also makes two guest appearances, with one them stemming from their joint tour of Australia and New Zealand last year. During their stop in Auckland, Jigga joined U2 onstage to spit a quick verse over "Sunday Bloody Sunday." Apart from the novelty of it, the whole thing is kind of boring and even a little awkward. In other words, it doesn't sound nearly as good as when Jay spits "Heart of the City" over "Sunday Bloody Sunday," like he did at Glastonbury in 2008.
