U2: "I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight" (Live on the Late Show with David Letterman) (Video)

· by

U2 stopped by the Late Show again last night, and this time host David Letterman had them contribute to the show’s Top 10 section. “What a tremendous organization U2 is,” said Letterman, apparently unaware that he was making them sounds like a bank. The band members look awkward and nervous as they deliver a typically unfunny Top 10 list of “Things U2 has learned over the years,” although the Edge raises a few laughs by inadvertently dissing Sting.

Bono has already announced the follow-up to current album No Line on the Horizon, which he has pompously compared in mood to Miles Davis and John Coltrane. In the meantime, the promotional duties for No Line continue, and above is the Late Show performance of “I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight.” It’s a generic U2 stomper, with little to differentiate it from the other songs the band has performed on the show this week.
