U2: "Get On Your Boots" (Audio)

U2's new single, "Get On Your Boots," premiered last night on Irish radio, and some listener has whipped up a YouTube stream of the song. The song is pretty guitar-heavy (thanks to chugga-chugga guitar work from The Edge), and Bono's lyrical runs sound eerily similar (as pointed out by Mark Richardson at Pitchfork first) to The Escape Club's "Wild Wild West" (that or Elvis Costello's "Pump It Up"). Bono sings that he doesn't want to talk about the wars of nations, he just wants you to get on your sexy boots. Doesn't sound like Bono, but yeah, I'm sick of hearing him sing about that stuff too.

"Get On Your Boots" is on Line on the Horizon, due out on March 3 via Interscope.
