This one is for aficionados only. "Platinum Rows" shows off Braxton's ability as a composer--the chaotic piece changes frequently and uses seemingly every instrument Braxton could get his hands on, including kazoos--but sounds like a John Williams film score more than anything else. The ten-minute song sounds deserves video of characters in a state of near-constant surprise, as vocals and strings remain jarring for the majority of the song.
"Platinum Rows" is on Central Market, which comes out September 15 on Warp.
