We learned this past January that Odd Future leader Tyler, the Creator and out-there singer-producer James Pants are fans of one another. And it seemed like it was only a matter of time before the two would collaborate to capitalize on their shared fandom. You know, like when Toro Y Moi's Chaz Bundick interacted with the OFWGKTA head-honcho via Twitter and later ended up remixing "French," which appears on Tyler's debut, 2009's Bastard.
It took a bit longer for us to hear the result of Tyler and Pants friendship, but it's here via the latter's remix of "Seven," another cut off Bastard. The results are just as left-field as you would expect. For one, Tyler's vocals have been slowed down to a codeine-induced growl. And they're now draped over Pants' aural trip littered with swashes of synthesizers, stomping drums, and, at one point, a saxophone.
You can stream/download the remix below via FADER.
