Ty Segall is releasing a new album, this time under the name Ty Segall Band, on June 26. The record is titled Slaughterhouse and will be put out by In the Red, who are offering a preview via the clip of “Wave Goodbye” below. This is ultra sludgy, recalling the earliest days of Mudhoney (the towering “Sweet Young Thing Ain’t Sweet No More” especially) through its treacle-like riffage. “Wave Goodbye” is the first single from the album, and it bodes well for anyone looking to indulge in the nasty side of garage rock, especially when it drops into guitar solo mayhem toward the end. And yes, that is the Slaugterhouse cover art decorating this page.
