“Two Rivers” F. Heems

When you listened to Das Racist’s Relax, did you ever think you’d hear one third of the trio, Heems, rapping over a noise pop track? Well, then you’re probably going to be pretty surprised by this new tune from Brooklyn’s Small Black. “Two Rivers” features a pair of stream-of-consciousness verses from Heems, who sounds surprisingly comfortable gliding over the reverbed guitars and crisp drums. He apparently recorded these rhymes and others after meeting Small Black on the road this summer. You’ll be able to hear their other collaborations on the band’s new mixtape, Moon Killer, which drops Nov. 11. For now, you can stream/download “Two Rivers” below. [FADER]
