It's easy to forget that TV on the Radio are on a major label. After all, they're arguably the best art rock band on this rock right now, and their back catalog doesn't exactly scream major label. But then comes their music videos, and you realize these guys have a bigger budget than the most recent Frenchkiss signing, or whoever. The video for "Will Do" is a Fountain-esque special effects heavy clip featuring the band in virtual reality helmets, looking for lost environments and loves while sequestered in a house, before having to decide between the virtual and the real. It's a great music video, and you have to imagine this one could actually get played on VH1, or something.
TV on the Radio's Nine Types of Light is due out on April 12 via Interscope. Just think: Everytime an Eminem single does well, there is more money for TV on the Radio. Just the best.
cool vid and glad a band like TVotR is able to make a good living being on a major but I don't think Eminem doing well really helps them much in their deal with Interscope
