TV on the Radio: Golden Age and Dancing Choose (Live on Later… With Jools Hollad) (Video)

· by

TV on the Radio recently brought the excellent Dear Science to European shores in the form of a string of European dates, and while in England, the band performed two tracks from the album on Later… With Jools Holland.  The videos’ audio quality is a little suspect, but the clips should provide some hints about how the songs will be performed when TV on the Radio tour the states starting this week.

Unfortunately, the band played two tracks we’ve seen in video form already, “Dancing Choose” and “Golden Age,” and in the case of “Choose” we’ve already seen live. On “Golden Age,” guitarist Kyp Malone’s vocals are pretty low in the mix (but again, that could be due to the videos) and singer Tunde Adebimpe is behind a table of electronics that look borrowed from Yeasayer. Next, Adebimpe rips through his raps on “Dancing Choose” with great gusto as guitarist Dave Sitek melts his fret board. The performances are pretty solid—but they still leave me wanting for a live clip of the band doing “Crying” or “DLZ.” [Pitchfork]

These sound pretty good. Looking forward to seeing them soon-ish.
