A blogger on MOG (or a "MOGger," if you will) has gotten ahold of another song off TV On the Radio's upcoming album, Dear Science. I'm sorry to say that it's the first TVOTR song I've ever heard that's left me disappointed after repeated listens. On "Dancing Choose," Tunde Adebimpe rambles about sensationalist media saturation that's "throws out hard cash for the sickest thoughts." Adebimpe's rapping isn't the problem. The problem with"Dancing Choose" is the messy, choppy sounding music behind the rapping, which is surprisingly tasteless and wasteful for a band who's been as good as TV On The Radio.
I guess not every song can be quite as good as "Golden Age," (currently streaming on TVOTR's website), and a song that continues to grow on me. Of course, since the sanctity of the leak is unclear, we have no way of knowing if this is the final cut.
Once again, Dear Science comes out September 23. Stream "Dancing Choose" here. [Gorilla vs. Bear]
