Night of the Hunter (MP3)

Rhythm has always been the name of the game for San Francisco’s Tussle, and this new track, “Night of the Hunter,” off the group’s forthcoming third album, Cream Cuts, is no exception. A crisp, syncopated drumbeat opens the track along with a propulsive bass line, that is briefly augmented by a shimmery piano. After a brief interlude, the track drops into a marching funk, with the drums still leading the way.

Cream Cuts is out on 8/26 via Smalltown Supersound. [Pitchfork]
