Over the past few months, we have seen and heard a slew of different versions of the Tune-Yards' still-killer single, "Gangsta." We saw Merrill Garbus perform it live with the Roots on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon while also rocking out to it in the studio for Yours Truly. The track even got remixed by Ad Rock, of the Beastie Boys, last month. But here, it's back to the album version of "Gangsta" for these black-and-white, fittingly oddball visuals. It's one of those music videos where a lot happens, but not really, you know? Garbus makes shadow puppets, gets ready for a gig, and drives around in the rain, but there's no climax. Whatever, the song is great.
