Tristan Corbière

Cold Cave, the darkwave electropop outfit from former American Nightmare frontman Wes Eisold, hits the road this fall as a full band for the first time. To mark the occasion, the group has released “A Little Death To Laugh” — an exclusive 7″ available at Cold Cave’s fall shows via Eisold’s own Heartworm Press imprint.

The single’s B-side is the meandering, ambient instrumental track “Tristan Corbière.” Radically different than Cold Cave’s pulsating, room-filling Gothic electronica, “Tristan Corbière” endlessly loops and builds upon a sweetly arranged music box melody — a strange tribute for the dejectedly wry symbolist poet for whom the track is named.

Take a listen to “Tristan Corbière” and check out Cold Cave’s fall tour dates with indie supergroup Divine Fits below.
