Travis Barker: "Can A Drummer Get Some" (Diplo Remix)
The Give the Drummer Some version of Travis Barker's "Can a Drummer Get Some" is a rap-rawk affair that actually isn't all that bad. Even amidst the buffoonery of Game, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and Swizz Beatz, the track just bumps and retains that universal fun element that I'm sure/hoping Barker was going for on the posse cut. And thanks to Diplo's remix, the song has received a considerable boost. The DJ has taken "Can a Drummer Get Some" straight to the club. From the building intro to the perfectly timed drop to the futuristic synths, almost everything works here. The only slightly boring portion comes during Swizzy's hook, which didn't have all that much going for it to begin with.
