Toro y Moi: "New Beat"
Those keeping up with Toro y Moi know that Chaz Bundick's second album under that moniker, Underneath The Pine, is due out soon. You also probably know that he was looking to craft a more festival-friendly record, which he likely meant as "more ass-shakin' friendly." I write that because its latest leak, "New Beat," is about as funky as you can get. The bass line gets most of the credit for that, along with the disco beat providing the track's backbone. The keys and guitars don't help matters either, though, as you will likely bust out in dance once you reach the halfway point of "New Beat."
