Tori Amos: "Pink and Glitter" (Live on Letterman) (Video)

Earlier this week, the folks at Spin were eagerly tweeting about a surprise guest who was set to play a huge grand piano at their office. Luckily, it just turned out to be Tori Amos, who was in town to promote her Midwinter Graces album, which is her attempt at making a seasonal record.

Amos teamed up with a huge brass section to perform “Pink and Glitter” from the album on David Letterman’s show last night (Dec. 10). The song has a showtune-y feel to it, the arrangement is impressive, and Amos is in fine voice, but it doesn’t really add much to the countless classic tracks that engender a similar feeling.
