Tokyo Police Club: "Long Distance Call" (Phoenix Cover)
Tokyo Police Club's '00s covers project has proved to be better than we thought: Here's the latest installment, which finds the band tackling Phoenix's great "Long Distance Call," a song that is pretty firmly in Tokyo Police Club's guitar-pop wheelhouse. The band is joined this time out by Ray Suen of Mariachi El Bronx, who lends...something, we assume. But the star here is singer Dave Monks who, throughout this project, has been able to tackle songs that give us a different look at his vocal range.
