"A More Perfect Union" is the Bruce Springsteen-referencing, vicious assault that begins Glen Rock, N.J. band Titus Andronicus' recently released album The Monitor. In its album form, the opening salvo's attack is over seven minutes. For video release - which premiered on MySpace Music - "A More Perfect Union" gets a tight, three and a half minute radio edit that distills all of the track's crushing, anthemic moments into something more easily digestible. The video itself just shows the band playing the tune with an American flag in the background in some very pretty, snowy woods. They then attract a small audience who have some wintry fun and finish by joining in on the song's group vocals.
this track (in its LP form) is year end list material me thinks...
Cool song and video.
This video is like a cross between the video for "Rebellion (Lies)" and that scene in Beauty and the Beast where they're in the snow with the wolves (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJzcL7BG5iI).
