Super group Tinted Windows brought “Kind of a Girl” to Letterman last week, and followed up the performance with another outing for the song on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night (April 23). They sound like an amalgam of the Cars, Weezer and bassist Adam Schlesinger’s Fountains of Wayne, without ever really superseding any of those influences.
The Fallon producers are continuing with the bizarre policy of placing an audience behind the band, although they seem suitable enthused. Perhaps James Iha just has a really cute butt? Singer Taylor Hanson resembles Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future in this clip, although drummer Bun E. Carlos out-cools him considerably by sucking on a lollipop throughout.

That's not a lollipop. It's an unlit cigarette. Fallon had been commeniting previously about Bun E.'s smoking habits and whether or not he had quit, and so he came out with the unlit ciggy dangling from his lips to make a joke about it.
You knew that, right?
