Tindersticks: "Black Smoke" (MP3)

Those harbingers of doom, Tindersticks, are in their 17^th year as a band, and have just announced details of their eighth album. The record will be titled Falling Down a Mountain, and is due for release on Jan. 25 on 4AD in England and Feb. 16 on Constellation in North America.

“Black Smoke” offers a preview of the album, and the band claim much of it was recorded in one or two takes. They say the album ran “in many different directions, but always with a shared feeling between all the musicians and a sense of discovery towards the ideas.”
