Timbaland: "Lil Apartment" f. Attitude & 6 Two

Well it appears that this Timbaland Thursdays continues for another week here with the release of "Lil Apartment," another slightly disappointing track from the producer/sometimes-rapper. What's frustrating here is that he's put together a pretty great production. A shuffling, bass-heavy beat is combined with sparse vocals and low-lying piano hits, all of which sounds like what we heard from Dr. Dre circa the early 2000s. But there are no West Coast spitters on here, just previous collaborators Attitude and 6 Two, the latter of whom appeared on Dre's 2001. The two Southern MCs might complement the beat, but so would any rapper who can string together some bars.
