As we have written in previous posts for Timbaland Thursdays, how much you enjoy this track depends on whether you can get past his vocals or not. And that's pretty much impossible to do on "808," which finds the producer getting his Auto-Tune* on for two-thirds of the track. The backdrop of synthesizers and drums might be predictable, but it's also far more palatable than Timbo's vocals. Also, the inclusion of Brandy might seem enticing to those of you waiting for her sixth album, but she's used here for like 30 seconds tops.

*Or is that a vocoder? Seriously, sometimes it's difficult to tell, especially when Timbo obviously doesn't have vocal chops and could definitely use Auto-Tune to his advantage.
