The futuristic pop of These New Puritans was carefully drawn together in my hometown, so I’m bound to have a soft spot for them—but there’s little doubt that Hidden is one of the most fascinating albums of 2010. There aren’t really any obvious singles on the record, but “Attack Music” comes close to being a concise distillation of everything the band does so well, and so this promo clip has been pieced together.

It’s not quite as impressive in the what-the-hell-was-that way of the clip for “We Want War.” Instead, this is all artful slow motion clips, with strange spasmodic dance moves and some lip synching from singer Jack Barnett, who may be challenging Hot Chip vocalist Alexis Taylor in the Weediest Man in Indie Rock stakes.
