These Are Powers' next release, All Aboard Future, is schedule to drop Feb. 22, but I'm not that it's safe to go where they want to take me. "Life of Birds" is a pretty upbeat title for such an ominous, forboding track. The song's space is filled out by electronic drums and short, harsh peals from the band's guitars. Singer Anna Barie is at the front of the track however, alternating letting out incoherent screams and menacing sneers that make it sound like a recorded exorcism. "Gimme that neon lightning rod," Barie repeats, half-threatening throughout. I'm pretty sure there's no such thing, but I don't want to know what's going to happen once she gets it. [Pitchfork]

I like this track. Yeah, i think its dope.
ominous, yes.... so? Sounds like M.I.A. on brown acid. I wonder about the rest of the album.
