Mancunians The Whip appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday (April 22), where they performed “Trash” from their debut album, X Marks Destination. The Whip’s mix of indie-rock and electro has proved popular in the U.K., where their music has been used in advertising campaigns, TV shows and video games.
“Trash” is a sturdy, bass-heavy number that sounds like a cross between Kasabian, New Order and Primal Scream circa XTRMNTR. The latter is an album that holds considerable sway over a huge crop of Brit bands, and is likely to be cited as a considerable influence as this decade draws to a close.
nice performance - they seem to get better and better live.
