One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to, was a Whigs concert two years ago in Milwaukee, Wisc., where my friend and I were the only people there to see the Whigs, while the other nine people in attendance where there to see the Incubus-loving opening band from Madison. The Athens, Ga. trio played like they were in Madison Square Garden playing to 75,000 people instead of the two underage guys yelling encouragement in between songs.
This new video for “Like A Vibration” off the group’s solid sophomore set, Mission Control, captures the live Whigs pretty well—the frantic jump cuts in between singer Parker Gispert and drummer Julian Dorio’s wild playing serve the “you have to see this band” vibe that the video is meaning to portray.
Mission Control is out now via ATO.

I've seen them twice now and they're just really enjoyable.
That has nothing to do with the fact that I seem to always get chatted up by underage boys at their gigs.
