Athens, Ga., three-piece The Whigs have reportedly finished their third album, In the Dark, the follow-up to their solid sophomore album, Mission Control, and the title track is above for your streaming purposes. The song showcases a more blatant power-pop influence that has been bubbling underneath the Whigs' sound since day one, and like all Whigs tracks, it fires the machine gun ripping of drummer Julian Dorio, who once won an award in Esquire for being the best drummer alive. 

In the Dark is due out in early 2010.
